Chetwynd Parish Council

Minutes of a Meeting held on Monday 8th August 2022 in the Village Hall, Sambrook.

  1. Present:

D Williams, K Grimston,  N Robson, M Stefan, P Humphreys, D Clancy(Chair), E Dowd.

Member of public Liz Phillips. J Butler acting clerk.

  1. Apologies: None

 

  1. Footpaths. The Footpaths Officer and assistant attended and general discussion on the paths around the village plus the imminent clearance of the Roman road took place. There are some slight discrepancies from the map it appears but none major. Cllr Stefan will continue to liaise  and should be notified when work takes place. The Chairman thanked the council staff for attending.
  2. Minutes The minutes of the meeting held on 16th May 2022 were received and approved.

 

  1. Chairman’s report. None.

 

  1. Matters arising.:

 

(I) Co-option of new members. The statutory notice having been displayed and in the absence of candidates the council may now co-opt.

There were two candidates brought forward Liz Phillips and Jonathan Butler (present as temporary clerk) It was resolved  that they be co-opted. The chairman welcomed the new and returning member. It was noted the acceptance of office and declaration of interests forms are to be completed.

 

(ii) Cllr Robson spoke regarding the defibrillator. There is to be a photo shoot (now sorted and picture available on Facebook).  Consideration of grant for supporting charity to be on next agenda. Insurance cover for the device to be arranged (now covered).

 

  1. Planning. Nothing to report.

 

  1. Finance. No accounts presented for payment. Clerk has distributed cash summary showing

balance of £4222.86.

 

  1. Correspondence:

 

  1. Clerk vacancy .

 

Advertising discussed and to be actioned.

 

  1. Any Other Business.

 

  1. Rubble from work at Standford Villa to be monitored.
  2. Signs on Puleston Bridge to be followed up. (note – work starting on 26th September).

 

  1. Date of next meeting: Monday 14th November at 7.30pm.
