Minutes of Annual General Meeting held on Thursday May 16th  2022in the Village Hall, Sambrook.

 

  1. Present D Williams, K Grimston, N Robson, M Stefan, P Humphreys, D Clancy(Chair)

E Dowd District Councillor Steve Burrell

 

  1. Apologies – None

 

  1. Election of Chairman – Cllr Clancy unanimously elected.

 

  1. Election of Vice Chairman – Cllr Humphreys unanimously elected.

 

  1. Election of other officers-

Village Hall – N Robson

Trees/Rights of way  – M Stefan

Emergency advisor and Snow Clearance – N Robson

 

  1. Planning Sub Committee D Williams K Grimston P Humphreys

 

  1. Minutes of meeting held on 21th January received and approved.

 

  1. Matters arising.
  2. Some work has been carried out by TWDC. Schedule to check drains suggested

and information as to this and further work requested from TWDC via District

Councillor.

  1. Finished.
  2. Noted tree has been planted in Southview by Council without notice.
  3. Defibrillator in hand further details awaited. Site to be sorted with Hall Comittee.
  4. Cllr Stefan referred to extreme difficulty in contacting footpaths officer. He will persist and problem referrred to District Councillor. .

 

  1. Chairmans report .

Letter of resignation received from Cllrr Street and accepted with regret. Clerk urgently needed.

 

  1. Planning.
  2. Concern expressed over access to road at Standford Villa. Decision on planning still in system but if granted meeting view was will cause a dangerous junction to be worse.

(Information received between meeting and minute preparation indicates planning inspectorate have approved the use of the front gate).

  1. Deer Park use extension not decided yet and awaited.
  2. No news on Middle Lodge.

 

  1. Finance
  2. As cash summary prepared by temporary Clerk and circulated.
  3. Annual accounts presented and approved.

  1. Any Other Business

 

  1. Cllr Dowd raised issue of lay by bin on A41. Enquiry to be made.
  2. Vacancies on Council. Chairman pointed out we now had two vacancies and will need to give notice and then co-opt if no response. Temporary Clerk will action. There are two candidates namely J Butler and E Phillips who were present at the meeting.

 

  1. Cllr Stefan is investigating wildlife seeding areas in village.
